Bifronte was conceived as a natural extension of the iconic Ripples bench by Toyo Ito, winner of the 2004 ADI Compasso d’Oro. In this side table, a portion of the celebrated bench is enclosed within an arched structure of extra-clear glass, creating a striking effect of suspension — the wood appears to float in the air, in perfect balance between transparency and material presence.
The inner surface, made of multilayer wood with five natural essences — walnut, mahogany, cherry, oak, and ash — reproduces the same flowing grain and curves that made Ripples an icon of contemporary design. The use of curved glass enhances the formal purity and visual lightness, making Bifronte a refined piece ideal for sophisticated living rooms or prestigious contract spaces.
An authentic expression of material research and Italian craftsmanship, Bifronte represents the meeting point of art, technology, and timeless design.
