The Designer’s Inspiration
Barbara is born from a silent dialogue with the work of Barbara Hepworth, particularly her most iconic sculptures, where matter is carved away, lightened, and rendered essential without losing its strength. As in the forms of the English artist, here too solid and void, mass and lightness, coexist in a measured balance, capable of conveying a timeless beauty.
Two Forms, One Unified Idea of Hospitality
Available in round or oval form, Barbara interprets the concept of conviviality in different yet complementary ways. The round version fosters an intimate and equal relationship between people, while the oval version expands the spatial composition, naturally accommodating more generous environments.
Wood or Marble: Surfaces with Character
The tops in walnut or mocha oak convey a deep, sophisticated warmth, highlighting the material in its authentic essence. Alternatively, marble introduces a note of elegant monumentality, transforming the top into a truly sculptural surface, luminous and enduring over time.
Every Space, Its Proportion
Offered in various sizes, Barbara adapts harmoniously to different settings while always preserving its distinctive design identity. It is a table that does not follow trends, but is rooted in a clear cultural vision, where art, design, and function come together to shape an object meant to endure.
A Gesture of Subtle Functionality
Barbara’s functionality can be further enhanced by the addition of the Lazy Susan, a rotating and removable tray crafted in black Fenix. A detail designed to make conviviality smoother and more natural, allowing gestures and moments to be shared with ease.
The Design Signature
In Horm products, the designers’ creative vision merges with the company’s artisanal expertise. A dialogue that takes shape in diverse objects, where research, precision, and attention to detail translate into coherent solutions designed to endure over time.
