Horm Stories #03
We are thrilled to welcome you aboard the Viking Glory, a luxurious Nordic cruise ship that, from its earliest design stages, prioritized both environmental sustainability and passenger comfort.
Expressions such as “the world’s first ship” and “minimal environmental impact” frequently appear in the narrative of this engineering marvel. A striking example? Viking Glory is not only powered by gas but is also the world’s first cruise ferry to employ ABB’s Azipod® electric propulsion system, a green technology that saves energy during ship maneuvers.
The interior design, entrusted to the prestigious Swedish architectural firm Koncept Stockholm, is guided by the same values of sustainability and environmental responsibility that define the entire project.
The pursuit of timeless design, with clean lines and a touch of luxury, led to a collaboration between the Swedish studio and Casamania, Horm’s sister brand specializing in soft contract furniture. This fruitful partnership identified the Raphia Rattan Chair as the perfect seating solution for the ship’s luxurious interiors.
This prestigious collaboration highlights how Casamania seating is ideal for high-end interior projects, where every environment is designed to offer maximum comfort and enjoyment.
