The Regenerative Design of Milan’s Bodio Center (#42)

Horm Stories #42

Today, we want to introduce you to an innovative garden-city project: the Bodio Center, a bold development that harmoniously blends work, nature, and design, creating an unprecedented environment within the urban landscape. Inspired by regenerative design principles, this project aims to redefine the very concept of workspace, providing a setting where natural elements seamlessly merge with architecture in an innovative and sustainable urban fabric.

From energy-saving systems to the collection and reuse of rainwater, from infrastructure for sustainable mobility to the promotion of biodiversity, every detail is carefully designed to foster an eco-friendly lifestyle that respects and preserves the environment.

At the heart of this vision are the shared gardens, such as the Arcipelago and the Labyrinth of Essences—true green lungs designed by Il Prisma that permeate the entire complex, offering occupants regenerative spaces for relaxation and social interaction.

Here, a stroll through the greenery becomes a multisensory experience, enriched by water features and pergolas that invite moments of pause and reflection. The square, transformed into a garden, serves as a prime spot for informal meetings and social interactions, while areas dedicated to relaxation and fitness provide opportunities for an active and healthy lifestyle.

In this setting, where greenery takes center stage, the Hexagon stools by Horm, designed by renowned architect Steven Holl, embody the perfect blend of functionality, design, and comfort. Placed throughout the central park of the complex, they add a touch of elegance and sophistication, inviting occupants to pause and fully enjoy these moments of relaxation.

A space where innovation, sustainability, and design converge harmoniously—a space proudly signed by Horm.
